To show he wasn't a complete bastard, the boss allowed his toy to forget about her former life for 24 hours on Christmas Day and on her former birthday. On those 2 days, she was genuinely happy with no sad thoughts about the life she lost. Of course, when she got her memory back the next morning she was really pissed off.
